they are precious in his sight!

Connecting children and families through a relationship with God

Here at Castleton, we believe that every moment matters.

Each prayer, praise and God moment we want to share as a congregation.

We desire to help our kids see how active God really is in our lives.

This is why we believe it is important for families to worship and pray together.

Something very special happens when children are able to witness

first-hand how people of all generations live out a life devoted to Jesus.

We also find that our mature believers benefit from being able to pour into younger lives.

It is our prayer that God will reveal himself to your child in those precious moments as a congregation.

After worship, the children are dismissed where a lesson is shared from the Bible that is geared to their age.

Children - preschool and kindergarten

Shellie Featherston teaches our Preschool through Kindergarten children.  Shellie believes that God gives each of us gifts to use for His Glory. She worked for 6 years as a Preschool Teacher of 2 and 3 yr olds and has worked for over 20 years for the Indianapolis Public Schools with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from IU.  She has worked with preschool age children at the Castleton Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years as both a Sunday School Teacher and Children's Church teacher.  Shellie also serves as a vocalist on the Worship Team.  Shellie loves to interact with young children as they have a unique perspective on things.  She loves to tell them how much Jesus loves them and is excited to get to know your children and show them God's love.

Children in Grades 1-5
